The Story

It was introduced on January 5, 1994 and referred to the House Municipal and County Government committee. The House withdrew that referral and sent the bill to the Environment and Agriculture committee instead. The committee held a public hearing on January 25, 1994. The committee held a work session on February 10, 1994. The majority of the committee recommended that the House study it after the session ends unanimously, 16–0. On March 10, 1994 the House voted to study it after the session ends on a voice vote. The committee held work sessions on May 25, 1994, June 8, 1994, June 29, 1994, July 13, 1994, July 27, 1994 and August 17, 1994. The committee reported back on its interim study of the bill: “Recommended for Future Legislation”, by a vote of 12 to 0.
