The Story

It was introduced on January 7, 1993 and referred to the Senate Transportation committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 27, 1993. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it. On February 18, 1993 the Senate voted to pass it on a voice vote. It crossed to the House on March 10, 1993 and was referred to the House Public Works committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 25, 1993. The majority of the committee recommended that the House kill it by a vote of 16–2, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On April 13, 1993 the House voted to kill it.
