The committee held a work session on May 11, 1993. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes. On May 18, 1993 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. On May 25, 1993 the House voted to agree to the other chamber's changes on a voice vote. An enrolled bill amendment () was adopted on a voice vote on June 9, 1993. These correct technical errors found after passage. The bill was enrolled on June 9, 1993 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor — and an enrolled bill amendment (3098) was adopted on a voice vote to correct technical errors found after passage. The bill was enrolled on June 17, 1993 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on June 29, 1993, making it Chapter 332 of the session laws. It took effect on August 28, 1993.
