The Story

The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it with changes by a vote of 16–2. On April 8, 1993 the House adopted “Special Order to 04/13/1993 at 10:15am” on a voice vote. The committee held a work session on April 13, 1993. On April 13, 1993 the House voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. On April 13, 1993 the House adopted “Suspend Rules for 3rd reading”, on a motion by Rep. Gross & Trombly. On April 15, 1993 the Senate voted to pass it on a voice vote. The bill was enrolled on April 15, 1993 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on April 16, 1993, making it Chapter 49 of the session laws. It took effect on April 16, 1993.
