The Story

The majority of the committee recommended that the House kill it by a vote of 12–1, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. The bill was taken off the consent calendar on March 10, 1993. On March 10, 1993 the House adopted “Special Order to 03/11/1993”. On March 11, 1993 the House adopted “Special Order to 03/16/1993”. The bill was taken off the consent calendar on March 16, 1993. On March 16, 1993 the House rejected a motion to lay it on the table on a roll call 165–174, on a motion by Rep. Jasper. On March 16, 1993 the House voted to pass it on a voice vote. On March 16, 1993 the House failed “Reconsider” on a voice vote, on a motion by Rep. W Mccann. It crossed to the Senate on March 24, 1993 and was referred to the Senate Banks committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 21, 1993. The committee recommended that the Senate kill it. On April 27, 1993 the Senate voted to kill it on a voice vote.
