The Story

It was introduced on January 6, 1993 and referred to the House Municipal and County Government committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 3, 1993. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it with changes by a vote of 16–1, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On March 3, 1993 the House voted to pass it with changes. It crossed to the Senate on March 11, 1993 and was referred to the Senate Wildlife and Recreation committee. The committee held public hearings on April 1, 1993 and April 29, 1993. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes. On May 19, 1993 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. On May 25, 1993 the House voted to reject the other chamber's changes on a voice vote. On May 25, 1993 the Senate adopted “Accede to Request for Committee of Conference” on a voice vote. A committee of conference met on June 3, 1993 to try to settle the differences between the two chambers' versions of the bill. On June 8, 1993 the Senate adopted “Conference Committee Report” on a voice vote. On June 9, 1993 the House adopted “Conference Committee Report” on a voice vote.
