The Story

It was introduced on January 6, 1993 and referred to the House Transportation committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 14, 1993. The committee held a public hearing on March 10, 1993. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it. On March 11, 1993 the Senate voted to pass it on a voice vote. The bill was enrolled on March 18, 1993 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on March 26, 1993, making it Chapter 9 of the session laws.
