The Story

It was introduced on January 8, 1992 and referred to the Senate Economic Development committee. The committee held public hearings on January 14, 1992 and January 28, 1992. On February 20, 1992 the Senate adopted “Suspend Rules to consider”, on a motion by Sen. Currier. On February 20, 1992 the Senate voted to pass it on a voice vote. It crossed to the House on March 5, 1992 and was referred to the House Science, Technology and Energy committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 17, 1992. The majority recommended that the House kill it, and the minority recommended that the House pass it, by a vote of 8–5. On March 26, 1992 the House voted to kill it on a voice vote.
