The Story

It was introduced on January 8, 1992 and referred to the Senate Ways and Means committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 16, 1992. The committee recommended that the Senate kill it. On February 13, 1992 the Senate voted to pass it on a voice vote. It crossed to the House on February 20, 1992 and was referred to the House Municipal and County Government committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 18, 1992. The majority of the committee recommended that the House kill it unanimously, 14–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On April 7, 1992 the House voted to kill it.
