The Story

It was introduced on January 8, 1992 and referred to the Senate Capital Budget committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 14, 1992. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes. On March 5, 1992 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. It crossed to the House on March 5, 1992 and was referred to the House Public Works committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 19, 1992. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it by a vote of 15–2. On April 7, 1992 the House voted to pass it on a voice vote, then referred it on to the House Appropriations committee. On April 7, 1992 the House adopted “Suspend Rules for hearing”, on a motion by Rep. Hager. The committee held public hearings on April 8, 1992 and April 14, 1992. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it with changes by a vote of 19–1. On April 22, 1992 the House voted to study it after the session ends on a voice vote. The committee reported back on its interim study of the bill: “Inexpedient to Legislate”.
