relative to enhanced family care facilities and making an appropriation therefor.

- Term: 1991-1992
- House committee: Health, Human Services and Elderly Affairs
- Senate committee: Public Institutions, Health and Human Services
- Subject: Welfare/Medicare/Medicaid
- Chapter law: 10
The Story
It was introduced on January 3, 1991 and referred to the Senate Public Institutions, Health and Human Services committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 6, 1991. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes. On March 14, 1991 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. It crossed to the House on March 26, 1991 and was referred to the House Appropriations committee. The House withdrew that referral and sent the bill to the Health, Human Services and Elderly Affairs committee instead. The committee held a public hearing on April 10, 1991. The majority of the committee recommended that the House send it back to committee unanimously, 17–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On April 23, 1991 the bill was referred to the Health, Human Services and Elderly Affairs committee. The committee held a work session on September 11, 1991. The committee met in executive session on October 24, 1991 to vote on its recommendation. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it with changes by a vote of 9–3. On January 8, 1992 the House voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote, then referred it on to the House Appropriations committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 21, 1992. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it with changes by a vote of 19–3. On February 6, 1992 the House voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. On February 19, 1992 the Senate voted to agree to the other chamber's changes on a voice vote. The bill was enrolled on March 5, 1992 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on March 10, 1992, making it Chapter 10 of the session laws. It took effect on July 1, 1992.
