The Story

On February 12, 1991 the bill was referred to the Resources, Recreation and Development committee. The committee held work sessions on September 12, 1991 and October 8, 1991. The committee met in executive session on October 29, 1991 to vote on its recommendation. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it with changes unanimously, 15–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On January 8, 1992 the House voted to pass it with changes, then referred it on to the House Appropriations committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 21, 1992. The majority of the committee recommended that the House study it after the session ends unanimously, 18–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On January 30, 1992 the House voted to study it after the session ends. The committee held a work session on September 22, 1992. The committee met in executive session on October 29, 1992 to vote on its recommendation. The committee reported back on its interim study of the bill: “Ought to Pass”, by a vote of 11 to 0.
