The Story
It was introduced on January 8, 1992 and referred to the House Executive Departments and Administration committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 15, 1992. The majority of the committee recommended that the House study it after the session ends unanimously, 13–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On March 3, 1992 the House voted to study it after the session ends. The committee held work sessions on September 24, 1992 and October 6, 1992. The committee met in executive session on October 21, 1992 to vote on its recommendation. The committee reported back on its interim study of the bill: “Ought to Pass”.
