The Story
It was introduced on January 8, 1992 and referred to the House Resources, Recreation and Development committee. The House withdrew that referral and sent the bill to the Transportation committee instead. The committee held a public hearing on January 21, 1992. The committee held work sessions on February 11, 1992 and February 19, 1992. The majority of the committee recommended that the House study it after the session ends unanimously, 10–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On February 27, 1992 the House voted to study it after the session ends. The committee held a public hearing on September 30, 1992. The committee met in executive session on October 14, 1992 to vote on its recommendation. The committee reported back on its interim study of the bill: “Inexpedient to Legislate”, by a vote of 13 to 0.
