exempting specialized programs or equipment of the Christa McAuliffe planetarium from the state's competitive bidding process.
- Status: Signed into law
- Term: 1991-1992
- House committee: Executive Departments and Administration
- Senate committee: Executive Departments
- Subject: Miscellaneous
- Chapter law: 277
The Story
It was introduced on January 3, 1991 and referred to the Senate Executive Departments committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 5, 1991. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes. On March 7, 1991 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. It crossed to the House on March 26, 1991 and was referred to the House Appropriations committee. The House withdrew that referral and sent the bill to the Executive Departments and Administration committee instead. The committee held a public hearing on April 30, 1991. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it unanimously, 13–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On May 9, 1991 the House voted to pass it. An enrolled bill amendment () was adopted on a voice vote on May 16, 1991. These correct technical errors found after passage. The bill was enrolled on May 30, 1991 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on June 10, 1991, making it Chapter 277 of the session laws. It took effect on July 1, 1991.
