SB 202-FN (1991)

relative to due process in the liquor commission's proceedings.

  • Status: Signed into law
  • Term: 1991-1992
  • House committee: Regulated Revenues
  • Senate committee: Ways and Means
  • Subject: Liquor and Beer
  • Chapter law: 204

The Story

It was introduced on January 3, 1991 and referred to the Senate Ways and Means committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 21, 1991. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes. On March 14, 1991 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. It crossed to the House on March 26, 1991 and was referred to the House Regulated Revenues committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 10, 1991. The majority recommended that the House send it back to committee, and the minority recommended that the House pass it, by a vote of 8–6. On May 14, 1991 the House voted to pass it on a voice vote. The bill was enrolled on May 21, 1991 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on May 28, 1991, making it Chapter 204 of the session laws. It took effect on January 1, 1992.
