SB 152 (1991)

relative to a joint New Hampshire-Quebec trade council.

  • Status: Signed into law
  • Term: 1991-1992
  • House committee: State-Federal Relations
  • Senate committee: Economic Development
  • Subject: State Government
  • Chapter law: 153

The Story

It was introduced on January 3, 1991 and referred to the Senate Economic Development committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 29, 1991. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it. On February 13, 1991 the Senate voted to pass it on a voice vote. It crossed to the House on March 26, 1991 and was referred to the House State-Federal Relations committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 17, 1991. The committee met in executive session on April 25, 1991 to vote on its recommendation. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it with changes unanimously, 12–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On April 30, 1991 the House voted to pass it with changes. On May 2, 1991 the Senate voted to agree to the other chamber's changes on a voice vote. An enrolled bill amendment () was adopted on a voice vote on May 9, 1991. These correct technical errors found after passage. The bill was enrolled on May 9, 1991 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on May 20, 1991, making it Chapter 153 of the session laws. It took effect on July 19, 1991.
