relative to determination of amount of alimony awards.

  • Status: Killed
  • Term: 1991-1992
  • House committee: Judiciary
  • Senate committee: Judiciary

The Story

It was introduced on February 5, 1991 and referred to the House Children, Youth and Juvenile Justice committee. The House withdrew that referral and sent the bill to the Judiciary committee instead. The committee held a public hearing on March 5, 1991. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it with changes unanimously, 13–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On March 19, 1991 the House adopted “Suspend Rules to consider on 03/19/1991”, on a motion by Rep. Gross & Chambers. On March 19, 1991 the House voted to pass it with changes. It crossed to the Senate on March 28, 1991 and was referred to the Senate Judiciary committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 17, 1991. The committee recommended that the Senate kill it. On April 25, 1991 the Senate voted to kill it on a voice vote.
