HB 447 (1991)

relative to bulk commodities.

  • Status: Signed into law
  • Term: 1991-1992
  • House committee: Environment and Agriculture
  • Senate committee: Public Affairs
  • Subject: Miscellaneous
  • Chapter law: 165

The Story

It was introduced on February 5, 1991 and referred to the House Transportation committee. The House withdrew that referral and sent the bill to the Environment and Agriculture committee instead. The committee held a public hearing on February 20, 1991. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it with changes unanimously, 18–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On March 19, 1991 the House voted to pass it with changes. It crossed to the Senate on March 28, 1991 and was referred to the Senate Public Affairs committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 25, 1991. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes. On May 7, 1991 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. On May 16, 1991 the House voted to agree to the other chamber's changes on a voice vote. The bill was enrolled on May 21, 1991 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on May 27, 1991, making it Chapter 165 of the session laws. It took effect on July 26, 1991.
