The Story
It was introduced on January 3, 1991 and referred to the House Fish and Game committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 6, 1991. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it with changes by a vote of 13–3. On March 7, 1991 the House adopted “Special Order to 03/13/1991” on a voice vote. On March 13, 1991 the House voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. It crossed to the Senate on March 21, 1991 and was referred to the Senate Wildlife and Recreation committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 25, 1991. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes. On May 14, 1991 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. On May 16, 1991 the House voted to agree to the other chamber's changes on a voice vote. The bill was enrolled on May 28, 1991 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on June 10, 1991, making it Chapter 224 of the session laws. It took effect on June 10, 1991. The bill was enrolled on June 11, 1991 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor.
