HB 732 (1990)
relative to family and catastrophic medical leave standards.
- Status: Killed
- Term: 1989-1990
- House committee: Labor, Industrial and Rehabilitative Services
- Subject: Employment
The Story
It was introduced on February 9, 1989 and referred to the House Commerce, Small Business and Consumer Affairs committee. The House withdrew that referral and sent the bill to the Labor, Industrial and Rehabilitative Services committee instead. The committee held public hearings on March 9, 1989 and March 15, 1989. The majority of the committee recommended that the House send it back to committee by a vote of 11–2. On March 23, 1989 the bill was referred to the Labor, Industrial and Rehabilitative Services committee. The committee held work sessions on September 7, 1989 and September 19, 1989. The committee met in executive session on October 10, 1989 to vote on its recommendation. The majority recommended that the House kill it, and the minority recommended that the House pass it, by a vote of 8–3. On January 9, 1990 the House voted to kill it on a voice vote.
