The Story

It was introduced on January 31, 1989 and referred to the House Children, Youth and Juvenile Justice committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 21, 1989. The majority of the committee recommended that the House send it back to committee unanimously, 17–0. On March 22, 1989 the bill was referred to the Children, Youth and Juvenile Justice committee. The committee held a work session on October 25, 1989. The majority of the committee recommended that the House kill it unanimously, 13–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On January 4, 1990 the House voted to kill it.
