The Story

It was introduced on January 24, 1989 and referred to the House Transportation committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 16, 1989. The majority of the committee recommended that the House send it back to committee unanimously, 17–0. On March 22, 1989 the bill was referred to the Transportation committee. The committee held a work session on October 3, 1989. The majority of the committee recommended that the House kill it by a vote of 8–7. On January 9, 1990 the House voted to kill it on a voice vote.
