The Story

The committee held a public hearing on March 7, 1990. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes. On March 22, 1990 the Senate voted to pass it with changes. On March 22, 1990 the bill was referred to the Finance committee. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes. On April 12, 1990 the Senate voted to pass it with changes. On April 12, 1990 the House voted to agree to the other chamber's changes on a voice vote. The bill was enrolled on April 12, 1990 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on April 13, 1990, making it Chapter 101 of the session laws. It took effect on April 1, 1990.
