The Story

It was introduced on January 3, 1990 and referred to the House Commerce, Small Business and Consumer Affairs committee. The committee held public hearings on January 10, 1990 and January 15, 1990. The majority of the committee recommended that the House study it after the session ends by a vote of 12–1. On January 25, 1990 the House voted to study it after the session ends on a voice vote. The committee reported back on its interim study of the bill: “Inexpedient to Legislate”, by a vote of 14 to 1.
