The Story
It was introduced on January 3, 1990 and referred to the House Transportation committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 10, 1990. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it with changes unanimously, 13–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On February 14, 1990 the House voted to pass it with changes. It crossed to the Senate on February 15, 1990 and was referred to the Senate Transportation committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 6, 1990. The committee recommended that the Senate kill it. On March 8, 1990 the Senate voted to lay it on the table. On March 22, 1990 the Senate adopted “Take from Table”. On March 22, 1990 the Senate voted to lay it on the table.
