The Story
It was introduced on January 3, 1990 and referred to the House Municipal and County Government committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 23, 1990. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it unanimously, 15–0, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On February 1, 1990 the House voted to pass it. It crossed to the Senate on February 8, 1990 and was referred to the Senate Public Affairs committee. The committee recommended that the Senate kill it. On March 15, 1990 the Senate voted to kill it.
