The Story
It was introduced on January 5, 1989 and referred to the Senate Transportation committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 24, 1989. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it. On February 2, 1989 the Senate voted to pass it. It crossed to the House on March 2, 1989 and was referred to the House Transportation committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 5, 1989. The majority of the committee recommended that the House kill it unanimously, 14–0. On May 4, 1989 the House voted to kill it.
