The Story
It was introduced on January 31, 1989 and referred to the House Labor, Industrial and Rehabilitative Services committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 21, 1989. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it with changes by a vote of 11–1. On March 16, 1989 the House voted to pass it with changes. It crossed to the Senate on March 23, 1989 and was referred to the Senate Executive Departments committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 12, 1989. The committee recommended that the Senate kill it. On May 11, 1989 the Senate voted to kill it.
