The Story

It was introduced on January 31, 1989 and referred to the House Municipal and County Government committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 15, 1989. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it with changes by a vote of 16–2. On March 21, 1989 the House voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. It crossed to the Senate on March 23, 1989 and was referred to the Senate Internal Affairs committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 30, 1989. The committee recommended that the Senate kill it. On April 4, 1989 the Senate voted to kill it.
