The Story
It was introduced on January 31, 1989 and referred to the House Regulated Revenues committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 16, 1989. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it with changes by a vote of 16–1. On March 9, 1989 the House voted to pass it with changes. It crossed to the Senate on March 13, 1989 and was referred to the Senate Ways and Means committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 23, 1989. The committee recommended that the Senate kill it. On April 4, 1989 the Senate voted to kill it.
