It crossed to the Senate on March 13, 1989 and was referred to the Senate Internal Affairs committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 23, 1989. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it. On April 4, 1989 the Senate voted to pass it. The bill was enrolled on April 11, 1989 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor.
