Testimony from the DOT indicated that the scope and resolution of the video would be very limited. SB 401-FN attacks CACR 16 by allowing another government agency to download video from Department of Transportation (DOT) dash cams before the DOT would have to delete the tape. The DOT testified that another government agency could download a portion or all of the tapes and use them as they please before the three day deadline when the tape shall be deleted. NH voters were very clear with the passage of CACR 16. Amend RSA 236:130, III by inserting after subparagraph (g) the following new subparagraph:\n\n(h) Is undertaken for safety and security by the department of transportation to operate dash cameras in its fleet. Except as otherwise provided, no video recording shall be stored longer than 3 business days. Any video recordings requested by the department of transportation or another legal entity, and retrieved prior to expiration of the 3 business days, shall be copied and retained by the department of transportation's transportation management center. The stored recording may only be used by the requesting party for a lawful purpose, including as evidence in a judicial or administrative proceeding.\n\n338:5 Department of Transportation; Dixville-Colebrook Road Project. The department of transportation is authorized to proceed with the road project named Dixville-Colebrook, project number 40518, subject to the following contingencies:\n\nI.
