The majority of the Legislative Administration Committee supports passing this resolution to honor the life and legacy of Melissa Hortman, the former Speaker of the House of Minnesota, who was tragically assassinated in an act of political violence last year. The majority of the committee seeks to send the message that political violence is never the answer. Through this resolution, the New Hampshire House will offer our condolences to the Hortman family for their unimaginable loss. This resolution is sponsored by leadership in both parties. Vote 6-5.
