Committee — INEXPEDIENT TO LEGISLATE
This bill would require the Secretary of State’s office to create a database for “data brokers” as defined by the bill that would allow citizens of NH to opt-out of personal data sharing by data brokers. The committee has recently passed a number of personal privacy protection bills to comply with a recently implemented constitutional right to privacy and personal information passed in 2018. Additionally, this bill is not clear regarding whether the attorney general’s office must prosecute foreign businesses that do activity in NH and violate the provisions of this bill. Vote 15-0.
