Committee — INEXPEDIENT TO LEGISLATE
Currently the State Employees Association already handles the notification of benefits for state employees and one of the sponsors mentioned during the hearing that this was brought about due to an issue with the Strafford County Sheriff’s office. Strafford County has confirmed that they provide an in person briefing and are now working on a digital notification for their employees because of this bill. The committee feels that this legislation is not needed at the current time and that we do not need to mandate the counties follow this process. Vote 15-0.
