Committee — OUGHT TO PASS WITH AMENDMENT
Testimony indicated questions and concerns of the public over who in the Department of Environmental Services (DES) is reviewing and approving their applications and related matters. The bill, as amended, was supported by DES and provides for the department to seek, through recruitment and retention efforts, training or state contracting, to ensure that at least one certified individual will address program-related matters and any issues that may arise in the course of its operations. Vote 16-0.
