Committee — OUGHT TO PASS WITH AMENDMENT
The bill as amended classifies buildings owned, operated, or occupied by charter schools as “public school buildings,” in regard to the state building code and the state fire code. Doing so eases the burden for charter schools seeking to renovate structures and standardizes the permitting process for all forms of public schools. Vote 16-1.
