This bill would have created a process by which towns and school districts could choose to hold their local voting day on the same date as the state primary in an effort to increase turnout. While the committee differed on whether this was a good idea or not, the proposal would require substantial additional work and was deemed unfeasible to complete within the limited time remaining in the legislative calendar. Vote 15-0.
